THE MODEL OF ASKING SEEKING AND KNOCKING IN THE PLACE OF PRAYER – 2

Matt.7.7 – “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

Matt.7.8 – For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.[ NKJV ]

Because of our divine identity as sons and kings before the King of kings, it is important to understand the authority that we carry.

When a king asks for something, seeks something, or knocks, he carries the confidence that whatever he asks will be given to him, whatever he seeks he will find, and wherever he knocks, it is certain that the door will be opened to him.

1 John 5:14 (AMP)
“And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us.”

This confidence is the faith we carry into the place of prayer. Faith holds the substance of what we are asking, seeking, and knocking for, and prepares the evidence of what we have been hoping for—thereby providing us with a good report.

Hebrews 11:6 (MSG)
“It’s impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that He exists and that He cares enough to respond to those who seek Him.”

Prayer

Loving, kind Father, I thank You for this truth revealed through Your Word. I now understand how to ask, seek, and knock in Your presence, for You are not a God who is far away but One who is very near and listening.
To You be the glory and honor, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
